For our inaugural Employee Spotlight, we are thrilled to feature our amazing founder and CEO, Tony DiDonato. Tony's professional journey has been nothing short of remarkable. From serving in the Gulf War to leading the Y2K Program at Citywide Banks of Colorado, Tony's career path is truly inspiring. He began his working life in the military, then transitioned to civilian life as a technician at Gateway computers, followed by a stint with IBM (Big Blue). This month marks the 25th anniversary of Tony launching The Millenium Computing Group, with his first contract being the Y2K Program for Citywide Banks of Colorado. What a way to kick off a new company!Â
At The Millenium Group, Tony is the glue that keeps our team together, ensuring everyone stays on task and works cohesively. His responsibilities include securing funding to drive the company's vision forward with technology, fostering existing vendor relationships, and discovering new ones to meet evolving technology needs. Tony excels at transforming unhappy new clients into satisfied ones and ensuring existing clients' technology works seamlessly, allowing them to focus on their respective industries. His innovative approach and hands-on style set The Millenium Group apart from other MSPs, resembling a traditional IT department rather than a distant vendor.Â
What Tony loves most about his role is staying abreast of technological advancements and implementing them across various companies to keep them safe and competitive in today's fast-paced environment. His passion for technology and dedication to client satisfaction are truly commendable.Â
As a child, Tony dreamt of becoming an international spy like James Bond, a dream that still lingers. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting and fishing. He deeply admires his wife, who has been the steady rock for their family, raising their children to be outstanding individuals despite his own challenging personality.Â
One unique and wonderful aspect of Tony's life is maintaining friendships with the same group of friends since childhood, some dating back to kindergarten. His favorite superhero is obviously James Bond, and he enjoys reading the Expeditionary Force Series "Skippy the Magnificent." His favorite movie is "Top Gun," and he cherishes any place where he can be with family and friends. When it comes to binge-worthy television series, "The Sopranos" tops his list.Â
We are incredibly fortunate to have Tony guiding our company and our customers to greater heights while enjoying a necessary work-life balance along the way. Thank you, Tony!Â
